Project for safeguarding and strengthening of land records

DOLRM's responsibility is immense. Provide quality service to the people on land administration is it's motto. However, the ages old method of keeping land records, use of torn/worn land records are bringing the challenge to DOLRM to offer secure and reliable land administration services to the general public.

Being the contributor of revenue the district offices are lagging minimum budget for the day to day operation of the office. These offices which are the only responsible offices for land Administration, don't posses land & building and furniture to archive valuable records which serve as a proof for resolving the court cases and also are archeologically important. These all discrepancies have further threatened in providing reliable services to the people and establish good governance.

To minimize such problems and enhance department and also to safeguard land records, DOLRM has started a project for safeguarding and strengthening land records since the fiscal year 056/57. The project was established with objectives to build infrastructure, improve/modify office system and strengthening of district offices for the institutional development and safeguard the land archiving system.
